Signed by Gregory Manchess (artist).
Printed letterpress on 150gsm Zerkall Smooth mould made paper by Phil Abel and Robert Hetherington of Hand and Eye Letterpress. Black ink throughout, with two colours on the title, half title and signature pages.
10 tipped in colour plates with tissue guards, including frontispiece.
The Numbered edition is half-bound in finest, hand polished, burgundy goatskin leather, supplied by Harmatan and Oakridge who are amongst the best book leather tanneries in the world.
Marbled paper is designed and supplied by Freya Scott of Paperwilds.
There are five raised bands to the spine, with lettering and ornament stamped in gold. Lines around the bands are hand tooled in gold.
The book blocks are hand gilded on three edges.
Silk ribbon marker. Leather headcaps are sculpted over the endbands.
This book comes in a curved edge slipcase with black goatskin leather ends. The cloth wrap is foil blocked in gold with a design by Gregory Manchess. Lined with burgundy suede.
Numbered Edition Pre-Order Details
Due to the popularity of our previous title, there is a ‘one copy per household’ rule in place for the first 24 hours of public pre-order. You will be able to add only one item to your basket. If any further orders are placed within the first 24 hours, those orders will be refunded. If there are copies remaining after the first 24 hours (at the time of 6pm GMT on Sunday the 30th January), all limits will be removed and you can order as many as you like. This is to ensure everyone has a fair and even chance at purchasing a copy when the pre-order opens.
Limited to 250 copies. The first 100 copies of this edition were offered to current rights holders at the beginning of January through a private pre-order. The remaining copies of this edition will become available for general sale on Saturday the 29th of January 2022 at 6pm GMT.
Copies 1-150 will carry rights to the next Lyra’s Classics title. Any available rights copies will be randomly allocated among the pool of pre-orders made within the first 24 hours. New rights holders will be notified by email within 48 hours of purchase. Copies 151-250 will not carry rights to future titles. Read more about how rights work.
