Our terms of purchase

When you order from us, you buy under our terms & conditions, and by placing an order it is deemed that you have read and accepted these.


We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, Mastercard, Amex and PayPal. All prices are in pounds sterling. 

Postage costs

The postage charges are based on your book coming inside a custom made, double walled carton with foam on six sides. This will be sent out to you using an express courier.

Acknowledgement of order

All orders receive an onscreen confirmation and, as soon as your order has gone through, you should get an order confirmation email from contact@lyrasbooks.com – please check your junk email folder and spam filter if it doesn’t arrive. You will also receive a shipping confirmation once your order has been sent.

Speed of despatch

For Stardust orders, the books will be sent out when production has finished. This is expected to be October 2020.


All books will be sent out using express delivery services. In the UK we use a 24 hour courier service called APC Overnight. For international deliveries we will use whichever courier service can get the books to you the fastest. Currently, delivery services are not as reliable as usual so we wish to use services which mean our books are in transit for the least amount of time.

As a guide, FedEx can often deliver to the USA on the next working day. Deliveries to Europe with Parcelforce are often within 48 hours. Worldwide, deliveries can take longer but we would expect them to be no longer than a few days. These times are only a guide as some things are still slowed down due to the pandemic. All deliveries will be fully trackable.

Delivery times are, however, subject to customs clearance, local services etc., which may affect estimated delivery. In case of any questions regarding delivery, please contact the delivery service.

Delivery to some countries has presented us with persistent problems, even when using tracked and signed for services. As a result we can only send books to Brazil, Mexico and other South American countries at the risk of the recipient.

It is our policy to replace books that are lost in the post. If you do not receive your delivery in the expected timeframe, please let us know. 

We will not be responsible for any orders which are not delivered due to incorrect or incomplete information being supplied by you. Please ensure that you enter full and accurate details of the delivery address, and the postal code, of the recipient. Please double-check the address carefully when placing your order and on the order notification; if you notice an error after placing an order, email us as soon as possible with the correct details. In the event that a package is returned to us, you will be responsible for the return shipping cost as well as the redelivery cost.


If the book that you have purchased has physical faults, either in its manufacture or from damage in the shipping process, please email us to request a replacement. In the case that replacement is not possible we will refund you. If your order has been supplied incorrectly, email us and we will make good any shortage or non-delivery. We cannot consider copies returned for other reason.
