Lettered Edition Details

The print run is limited to 26 copies, each containing 314 pages with a trimmed page size of 240 x 170mm.

Signed by Gregory Manchess (artist) and Merlin Holland (foreword contributor).

Printed letterpress on 160gsm Magnani Pescia 100% cotton mould made paper by Phil Abel and Robert Hetherington of Hand and Eye Letterpress. Black ink throughout, with two colours on the title, half title and signature pages.

10 tipped in colour plates with tissue guards, including frontispiece.

The Lettered edition is fully bound in finest, hand polished, black goatskin leather, supplied by Harmatan and Oakridge who are amongst the best book leather tanneries in the world.

There are five raised bands to the spine, with lettering and ornament stamped in gold. Lines around the bands are hand tooled in gold.

The front and back boards are blocked in four colours using an ornamental design created by Gregory Manchess.

Marbled endpapers were designed and supplied by Freya Scott of Paperwilds.

The books blocks are hand gilded on three edges and come with a silk ribbon marker. Leather headcaps are sculpted over the endbands.

This book comes in a half-bound, black leather solander box with marbled sides. The trays are covered in burgundy cloth and lined with black suede. The lettering is stamped in gold to the rounded spine.

Inside the large tray of the box is an original drawing by Gregory Manchess (please note that artwork may differ from the photographed example). The artwork is presented under a suede lined frame and, with care, is removeable.

Any remaining copies of this edition not taken up by rights holders will be available by lottery only.

The lottery will be open to anyone and a form will appear on the product page for three days, during which time customers may enter their name and contact email if they wish to be included in the draw. Winners will be notified by email. If there are copies remaining after the lottery, they will be added to the shop.

Lettered Edition Delivery Details

All books will be packed into custom made, double walled cartons and surrounded by thick foam on six sides to ensure safe delivery.

All services will be fully trackable and you will be sent a confirmation of shipping along with a tracking number when your parcel is booked with the courier.

All international deliveries, including to the EU, now have full customs declarations. Any import taxes, customs duties or fees must be paid for by the recipient. Customs policies vary from country to country and you should contact your local customs office for more information. Customs clearance procedures may cause delays and extend our quoted delivery time estimates.

We will begin binding these books in February 2022 and hope to deliver some time in the second quarter of the year. Updates will be posted on social media and via website subscriber email as we go.
